Research Interest
My research focuses on synthesis of heterogeneous catalysts (supported metal, metal oxide, zeolite, layered double hydroxide) with tailored properties via different methods such as flame spray pyrolysis, strong electrostatic adsorption, electroless deposition, solvothermal, magnetron sputtering, etc., for many catalytic reactions (selective hydrogenation, lignocellulose conversion, CO/CO2 hydrogenation, selective oxidation of H2S, olefin metathesis, propane dehydrogenation). The catalyst structure/activity-selectivity relationship is determined based on numerous analytic results from bulk and molecular level characterization. I am honored to be the recipient of many awards from both national and international organizations including the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) for Developing World, Third World Organization for Women in Science (TWOWS), L’Oreal (Thailand)-UNESCO For Women in Science, the Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Technology under the Patronage of H.M. the King, the Thailand Research Fund, the Office of the Higher Education Commission, and Chulalongkorn University.
