🎉 Celebrating 50 Years of Chemical Engineering at Chulalongkorn University — at MCARE 2026
We are delighted to invite colleagues, alumni, researchers, students, and industry partners to join Symposium 10: 50th Anniversary Symposium of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, a special symposium organized as part of Materials Challenges in Alternative and Renewable Energy 2026 (MCARE 2026).

This year is particularly special for our department as we celebrate 50 years of academic excellence, research, education, and contributions to Thailand’s chemical and process industries. Rather than looking only at what we have achieved, this symposium is designed to look forward — bringing together academia, alumni, industry, and international collaborators to discuss where Chemical Engineering should go in the decades ahead.
🔬 Symposium 10 will feature topics including:
• Data-Driven and AI-guided Approaches for Chemical Engineering Applications
• Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Technology
• Future Trends in the Thai Chemical Industry
• Toward Net Zero
• Sustainable Energy Production and Utilization
• Advanced Functional Materials and Emerging Technologies
• Power-to-X
• Future Directions in Chemical Engineering Education
The symposium is led by Professors from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, and KAIST, together with organizers from Chulalongkorn University and international partners from SNU and NTU.
🌏 MCARE 2026 itself is also a special occasion: this is the first MCARE conference to be hosted in Southeast Asia, bringing leading researchers from universities, industry, and research institutes around the world to Bangkok. The conference includes plenary and keynote lectures, invited talks, technical sessions, posters, and opportunities for international collaboration.
📢 There is still an opportunity to participate!
The regular abstract deadline has passed, but poster submissions are open until 18 September 2026 (KST), and Symposium 10 is available as one of the submission topics. MCARE 2026 will also present Best Poster Awards to selected students and researchers.

🌏 MCARE 2026 ยังถือเป็นอีกวาระสำคัญ เพราะเป็น ครั้งแรกที่การประชุม MCARE จัดขึ้นในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยจะมีนักวิจัยชั้นนำจากมหาวิทยาลัย ภาคอุตสาหกรรม และสถาบันวิจัยจากทั่วโลกมาร่วมประชุมที่กรุงเทพฯ
📢 สำหรับผู้ที่ยังต้องการส่งผลงาน ยังมีโอกาสครับ/ค่ะ
ขณะนี้ Poster Submission เปิดรับถึงวันที่ 18 กันยายน 2569 (KST) และสามารถเลือกส่งผลงานเข้าสู่ Symposium 10 ได้ นอกจากนี้ยังมี Best Poster Awards สำหรับนักศึกษาและนักวิจัยที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกอีกด้วย
