Research
Control and Systems Engineering Research Laboratory
The mission of the Control and Systems Engineering Research Center (CASE) involves frontier research and development of novel methods and systems leading to innovation and application to enhance process effectiveness. The core enabling technologies in the context of key process control, operation, and design entail the important research areas of (1) process design, modeling, and optimization, (2) advanced process control and automation, predictive maintenance, and safety, and (3) process troubleshooting and improvements in terms of process efficiency, economic, and environmental impact.
